| Entrance to Texas Parks Wildlife EXPO |
If your family enjoys the outdoors, fishing, camping, wildlife, or Texas state parks, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo is an event worth experiencing. Held in Austin, this annual event introduces visitors to outdoor recreation through hands-on activities, wildlife demonstrations, educational exhibits, and conservation programs. We attended as a family and came away with bags full of educational materials, plenty of photos, and memories that still make us smile years later.

We spent our morning today at the Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo in Austin. This event brings 40,000 + and the city of Austin very generously offers FREE shuttle bus rides to and fro. We Parked our car in front of Macy's at the Highland mall, and boarded a bus.
There was so much to see and do and a WEALTH of information. We collected several booklets that will aid this year's 4-H projects. This is a MUST SEE event for the Texas Park's enthusiasts.

| Trying free venison samples. |
We stood in line for FREE VENISON. Had venison meatloaf, barbecued deer, fried, sausage -- several varieties.
When we first arrived, we smiled and said HELLO to one of the volunteers. We remarked how nice the day was. She replied, "Sure IS, life is better outside!"
I didn't catch what she meant, until we saw the OTHER side of the EXPO sign leaving the festivities. LIFE'S BETTER OUTSIDE!

Why We Enjoyed the Expo
One of the things I appreciated most about the Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo was how much of it focused on learning by doing. Children and adults could try outdoor activities, meet wildlife experts, learn about conservation, and discover new hobbies ranging from fishing and kayaking to birdwatching and camping.
It's easy to see why the event attracts so many visitors each year. Whether you're raising a family, homeschooling your children, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, it's a wonderful way to celebrate everything that makes Texas parks and wildlife so special.
As we left that afternoon, the slogan on the exit sign suddenly made perfect sense:
Life's Better Outside.
I couldn't agree more.
