4 Dresses and a Wedding: Creating Bridesmaid Dresses for a Pioneer Wedding

One of my favorite parts of preparing for a family wedding wasn't choosing decorations or flowers—it was gathering around the sewing machines to create the dresses together. There's something special about handmade clothing because every stitch becomes part of the memories. Looking back, this was one of those busy afternoons that I'll never forget.

Yesterday, Caitlin and her mom came over and we worked on the wedding dresses. With the 3 of us measuring, cutting patterns, and sewing, we knocked it all out in one afternoon --- 3 Bridesmaid and 1 Flower Girl dress!

Caitlin didn't want to stand still while I took a picture. On second thought, I'm glad I didn't take pictures of the fitting. Sooo, you'll have to wait for the wedding to see the dresses!

What seemed like an ordinary afternoon of measuring, pinning, and sewing would soon become part of one of our family's most cherished memories.

COUNTDOWN: 23 days till the wedding!

You should have video taped the sewing party so the picture would be clearer.
